Both my tacos are affected. Of course, no dealers have parts, but not worried. Itā€™s easy enough to make sure mud & dirt arenā€™t caked up in the rear wheels. If they are, use your hose and remove it. Easy peasy.
Didn't even think about that. I thought the hardest part would be the waiting at the dealership as they work on our truck.

Iā€™m always amazed how a team of engineers couldnā€™t foresee a problem with that design on an off-road truck. Nobody thought wow that brake line is very close to the wheelā€¦.

I got the recall, too. Thank you to the forum, because I don't check my app, really. I called local dealer and they haven't even gotten direction from Toyota on how to fix it. Obviously, no parts, so waiting for a letter from Toyota before I can make an appointment.

I call the dealer to and they told me they will start to make appointments in april and document my account as I call to that matter.
iā€ll suggest to call and let them know to document the account in case something happens you already call .

I was about to ask that. Should we wait until we get the notice in the mail before we head to the dealer? Or should we go now and just get it over with. Seems like waiting is the option for now. Besides, an earlier post said something about parts availability being an issue as well.

Spoke to my dealership. They said no fix at the moment but should be pretty quick! And to keep an eye on the lines, if there is a leak they will tow it and get me into another vehicle until the repair is complete.

Service manager said the Salesman are not happy, they pulled 10 off the lot! ā€œThey finally have some inventory on hand but canā€™t sell themā€ šŸ¤£

You'd think! But they design these new ones to be used on the city streets and highways to compete with the car market knowing most in North America will never be on anything rougher than gravel roads.

Got mine on the app last night. I'll get in touch with my dealer on Monday. For now, I'll make sure to keep them clean. I also don't have OEM wheels, so I'm not sure if that is good or bad. I'll have it on the lift in a few days for an oil change so I'll see if there's a way to reroute it until they have a fix.

Iā€™ll be interested to see what the fix is. Could be a zip tie. Doubt it would be anything more than replacing the soft lines. Maybe an angled or offset port fitting?

Just looked at mine. It's not horrible close, but I could see a bunch of mud. I'm at +44 and from what I can see it wouldn't matter if you were at 0. That line is dead center of my wheel. I'm not entirely sure how they're going to fix this. I feel like they're going to have to move the line onto the axle or maybe spin the bracket down. Either way they're going to replace lines. I don't see a zip tie doing much good.
