Almost always top tier. The book says 87 so that's what I use unless in the areas that only sell 85. Haven't had any problems with the gas in 16K miles. Cold weather and winter tires knock down mileage, but the Taco runs just fine. Now that I've read these comments, I'll try 91 for a few tanks...
My bad, sort of. I was not referring to the digital key, but to the cell phone app to start the rig. I know of one person who used the cell phone app to start their Taco until they didn't have cell service and had to send a friend to get the fob. An off topic situation, sorry.
CAREFUL - you've gotta have cell service for the cell key to work. There are places out west where there's no cell service. If you've lived in Meridian long you know where some are.
I am not in favor when other tactics are still available. As I understand it, right now the tariffs only affect Mexico, Canada, and China. Toyota can increase production elsewhere or ship parts to other countries, then ship them here and avoid the taxes, but add shipping, handling.
I was 76 when I picked mine up; not tech savy much at all. The sales guy hooked up my phone, set me up in the Toyota web, showed a lot of stuff I nodded ok to, and sent me out the door on tires inflated to 49 psi. I drove 150 miles home pushing buttons and avoiding traffic while jarring on every...
Crispy, I log my fillups and other stuff, tire changes, service, etc. in a book in my rig. But I can't think of a reason to let the world know where I am at any particular time. I'm not grousing, I'm curious why I should do that - seriously not fuzzed up - curious.
I agree with above who say it's way too early. Drive it, let your computer figure out what you're doing and then start tracking it. My '19 started getting it's best mpg after 20,000 miles. This one has 15,000 miles, doesn't like the winter tires nor blended fuel. Waiting for summer to check it...
When you go back in and check with the dealer, bet he says the temp numbers represent different things than a "normal" VIN. I've never heard of needing to set up insurance ahead of delivery and the company would have the wrong VIN on file for the rig anyway. Good luck.
Miqie, I have been dealing with this company for years and found the same response from them. They are great to deal with. Everything from dogs or groceries in the front seat to constantly opening and closing gates in the back country, the device is great.
Good information from all above. Only thing I would add is this: 4 H/L will help your go forward traction, but will NOT help you stop. Don't drive any faster forward than you can safely stop in the distance you have.
Like Drifte, I've had better luck in the normal mode with 14,200 miles on my Taco. Don't know if it made a difference, but ran it in eco mode for first 2500 miles, but the transmission failed. I know a bunch of us had that tranny problem, but just not sure I want to push it for no noticeable...
The small tank is not appropriate for any off road vehicle. To force us to carry a tank of gas unprotected in the bed is a bad idea that we have to follow in remote areas. I like my '24 TRD OR, but it doesn't get the range I'd like to see off road. On the highway, at reasonable speeds, I get 22...
I get a little along the edges, but nothing like I got with the Gen 3 cover. Past practice has me bagging everything I put back there, but it wasn't necessary on the last trip to Seattle.
Like bigd9247, mine didn't come with one. I ordered one thru the dealer but had them install it. It fits perfectly, works great. It does not seep water down the folds and into the bed like my Gen 3 cover did. The prop rods have worked fine when holding up the cover as designed.
