Great question. I didn’t even look at that. Here is the report I got:
None of those codes are on the TSB. So if this wasn’t transmission related then WTF happened?? I’m actually more concerned now! Haha
Well the good news is they were able to look at it tonight. The bad news is the results were inconclusive. The error codes didn’t indicate a definite problem and after they cleared the codes and test drove it they had no issues.
Honestly I NEED the truck badly for the next few days. Visiting...
My truck was built in May. I have been driving 3000+ miles a month, so I probably have more miles on my truck than most other hybrids out there. But yeah, I thought I was in the clear at this point.
For sure. I work in a different industry, but I also work in technical repairs. The inconsistent problems are the bane of my existence. We want things to fully break or fully work.
I don’t know. Just guessing. They aren’t even sure they can look at it today since I don’t have an appointment.
Funny story, when I walked in and started telling them the problem they acted like they had never heard of anything like this before. Then they got me confused with another guy who...
Looks like I got bit by the tranny bug. Just passed 12k miles on my TH. No warning signs of impending doom. Was on the freeway cruising along, then sudden violent jerking and the engine cut out. Pulled over and restarted the engine and limped to a service center. I’m over 200 miles away...
I’m out at the end of what’s known as “The Peninsula” in central Oregon. Sheer cliffs almost around me. It’s my mobile office this afternoon.
With the weather cooling down I got a couple tires showing low psi. No problem, I’ve got a compressor in the bed! Except when I went to use it nothing happens. It will not turn on. I’ve used it a few times before with no issues.
So I wanted to check for a blown fuse. I checked the fuse box...
This is probably not the Trailhunter pic you’re looking for. But sometimes life’s trail leads you to your daughter’s wedding. I wanted to get this all in one trip. 72 folding chairs, 2 tables, and every remaining nook and cranny stuffed with decorations!
Haha actually I just passed 8,000 in less than 3 months. I drive a lot for work, and after getting the truck I’ve done a lot of personal stuff too. Will probably start to slow down.
No serious issues to speak of. I’ve been watching the transmission very closely given the issues. There’s...
This issue just popped up on my Trailhunter. Probably started at around 7,000 miles. It sounds like it’s coming from the passenger side rear door area. Only does it at very low speeds in either forward or reverse. It kind of sounds like a twig stuck in a brake rotor or something, except it’s...
I sold mine. It definitely makes the Trailhunter recognizable. But I want my truck to be incognito because of the business I’m in. I did have some friends and coworkers that were disappointed that I pulled it off.
Couple things. The 2024+ models do not have a V6 option. Also, Toyota does not allow anyone to order a vehicle. The closest thing we have is when a dealer gets an allocation, if you want that allocation, some dealers will allow you to reserve it. This can mean you will need to do a LOT of...
My work took me to Reno. I snuck away for some late night trail hunting. This was by far the toughest terrain I’ve taken her down. Had my heart pounding a few times. Felt like I needed all the goodies, sway bar disconnect, locker, crawl control, etc. Got a couple pics from the top of the...
Did it on my Trailhunter. I used the front harness, that’s right behind the driver side headlight. It can be hard to find at first, as it’s under some other wiring. I used Aux 3. This isn’t really a write up, but I’m not sure what else there is to say.
