The KO was released in the 70s, the KO2 about a decade ago, and the KO3 is slowly being released now.
The KO3 has about a decade's worth of improvements over the KO2, primarily in dealing with water and snow. As expected: it's still pretty bad in mud.
Verify that I've got this straight: if you start spinning your wheels on ice then disable the thing that's intended to keep you from spinning your wheels on ice.
No, I haven't ordered a Tacoma yet. Hopefully it's not simply too delicate.
For those trying to find where they talk about the issue: scroll to 9:20.
Is it expected to have to get an alignment when replacing the front diff on an IFS vehicle? That seemed weird to me.
It's a good thing that others are trying to replicate that failure, right? TFL's broke without pushing it very hard at all, so hopefully whatever flaw they experienced gets resolved quickly.
It's kind of nuts that they didn't even air down. That seems ludicrous to me.
What, exactly, did he get wrong?
The comments about the quality of the plastics is obviously subjective, and he's flat out lying about Wranglers being able to engage lockers in anything but 4 low (unless you add an aftermarket Tazer JL Mini), but is any of the rest of it incorrect?
We're...
Are you thinking that those heat, cold, and stress cycles are supposed to occur after delivery or before? Hint: it's not after.
Are you thinking that the long road trip right out the gate (that most of us that order across the country do) had some form of impact on the failure they experienced...
You don't seriously think that they should be swapping out tires based on conditions, right?
And I have no idea what you're saying about traction boards or about hammering anything. This was a pretty damn wimpy situation.
Sorry, but there was something fundamentally wrong with that rig...
It makes sense that they'd be marking them down since most people know their replacement is due out soon. Unfortunately I'm beginning to hear it might not be so soon.
