my thought was it was the parking brake going on full "hold" mode. mine does it almost immediately after putting in park.

Unfortunately I have neither a jack or the ability to slide under to remove the skid plates at the moment. At this point I'd rather not touch anything and let them find the problem in case they try to place blame on me

The first pic should give a decent angle for comparison but it's surprising the taco looks the same width just sits a bit shorter. But numbers wise it should be like 3-4inches narrower Edit: might be because Tacoma is closer to the front
