I noticed that sometimes the 2wd to 4wd is super smooth, not to mention driving in 4 wd is pretty smooth even in high speed. However sometimes when changing to 4wd it makes a loud grinding noise. Am I doing it wrong. Sometimes no sound and sometimes loud grinding. What is your thought.
Just to let you guys know, who dont know the difference between models. The limited does not have full time all wheel drive, only hybrid limited has it, says the guy who owns a Limited model...
If you have it on what ever mode and drive normal like putting it on adaptive cruise, the MPG is pretty much the same. I did that last nights drive going and coming was pretty much the same.
Here is a funny thing I would like to share, I checked out a CBI skid plate, cost of the skid plate $740 and guess how much shipping came out to $900 plus. That is crazy....
Now I have removed the front air dam it looks weird, doe anyone know if there is after market front air dam that is about half the size.
Next does the trail hunter skid plate fit on LIMITED or other models. The TRD stamped red letter seems pretty beefy but small compared to trail hunter. Which...
Water in side the door after rain, isnt this normal. The rain water would drain out when you open the door. My other gen tacomas all had this, so thought this was normal. When you open the water drains out and then its gone.
I was planning on putting those light on later, but wonder if its even worth it to put it on, specially when the camper base would kind of cover it up as well. Overall must be kind of irritating to go through this ordeal, Hang tight.
Yup I have that issue as well, not to mention the tail gate trim is also loose and made my own washer to hold it down tight The bed rail cover not sure if its an issue for me cause I am probably going to put a camper on when it becomes available and that should take care of it.
I have notice that the front windshield cowl is that what that piece of plastic that covers the front lower part of the wind shield that houses the wiper motor. That piece from what I have noticed even in the
Toyota dealer parking lot have a warp on them. You should all look at yours and have...
all that removal for a piece of loose wire. dang toyota is really behind the bar when it comes to reliability. I have always bought the first year model and this is the first time experiencing little hick ups with my truck as well.
From what I remember the back door panel that has the trim dont come off. It was integrated as one piece. You might have to take the whole panel off to remove that piece from back if anything. Its not that hard to take off. There was 2 screws think that need to get removed.
Is it me or do other see that the inside of the cab interior light, map light and dome light is LED but pretty dim. Have anyone change the bulb out and is it brighter after that?
Haha thats really funny. I was looking at the same thing in my truck and was trying to figure out where they are from as well. Couldnt figure it out and left it back in glove box and forgot about it.
Thanks guys for the answer.
