I know :crying:. It was a great truck but the rear seat room ended up becoming a real issue. I thought it was going to be ok but unfortunately I was wrong. Made the switch to a full size (Silverado) and the family is much happier. I miss the Tacoma but I do love the LZO duramax and tons of room...
Sold my Tacoma so no longer needed. Had on the truck for about 5 months. Comes with the visor cutout for a 40" light bar. The light bar is the picture is not included. Great product; wind noise was a big factor for me and was able to get this setup dialed in really well. Comes with all mounting...
Got the insulation installed a couple days ago. I'm pretty surprised by how much it reduced engine noise. You can still hear it but the ticks and clacks are muted. Was a bit of a gamble but I'd say it was worth the $$.
I really interested to see the follow on video he mentioned with regards to running 91 octane fuel. Seems to allude that they have some data which would be really interesting to see and bring some clarity to some of the discussions that have been going around on regular vs premium fuel.
Mine is in range as well. Nothing out of the ordinary yet with the transmission. My biggest worry for myself and others here would be downtime if we needed a replacement. Hoping they are better prepared than they were for the folks we saw deal with it earlier.
I never bought a 3rd gen because of the seats. Not the headrests but how low they were to the floor. No issues so far with the seats in the 4th gen. Don't even notice the headrest tbh. Swapping them out will probably be your best bet.
Probably depends on the rack. It’s not apples to apples but I’ve taken our Forester and FJ, both with roof rack and cross bars, through an auto with no issue. Nothing mounted to them though and I think that would be the main concern.
This sounds like exactly what I need. Is this a similar setup to @Sagebrush? Do you mind sharing more details like which relay you chose and exactly how you tied in the aux pigtail? Appreciate the help; it's all starting to make sense.
So I talked to BD today and it turns out that the light bar draws close to 17 amps. Looks like the largest lead on the pigtail only supports 15. Is it possible to still to use the switch as "just a switch" and draw power from the battery directly instead?
I got my Baja Designes S8 mounted on my roof rack and am ready to wire it up. Based on their suggestion, I got the upfitter switch from BD which is supposed to ease integration with oem switches. Looking at my pigtail and the BD harness it seems pretty straight forward but wanted to get yall to...
Is it possible to disable the inability to go into reverse with a door open? This one is driving me crazy when I need to move the truck a feet and don't want to shut the door. Didn't realize how I often I did this until I bought a truck that didn't allow me to.
I have the cloth seats and have been pretty happy with them. I've had leather in my last few vehicles and don't miss it so far. The fabric seems to be pretty durable and doesn't really trap dirt/crud. My legs also appreciate it when it's hot out and I'm wearing shorts lol.
