I pulled the trigger and got the Timbren. I used it on my 2.5 Readylift SST and with both spacers have about 1" of space unloaded although I have a rooftop tent.
The difference is night and day! No more harsh bottoming out and going through speed bumps is great. The lift made the ride more...
Issue Resolved DIY! The alignment I did prior to going to the shop must have messed up the calibration.
See post #15 here for resolution: https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/threads/psa-euro-global-techstream-plus-works-on-2024-tacoma-4th-gen.6131/#post-90463
I ran a health check and showed 0 DTC. I then started looking at the (RoB) Vehicle Control History and noticed that at the same time I started getting the malfunctions after self performing alignment prior to going to the shop, it said "Zero Point Calibration of Steering Angle Sensor...
That's correct, it was showing the ICS which are clearance sensors. I deleted that message but still have the malfunction on the dash (see screen). How do I find dtcs? I could not find any codes.
Ordered mine on May 16 and barely got the notification to pick them up last week. It's crazy how long the lead time is but I hope it's worth the wait! They probably messed up and gave my sliders to someone else.
Also got full aluminum skid plates from them (apart from gas tank) and it's nice!
Can I use this to do a zero point calibration? Got a lift and my TSS has been disabled..
Edit: got it to connect with the cheap cable on amazon. However, I cannot find a way how to do the zero point calibration. On older toyotas it seems like a simple process to just reset data and recalibrate...
I have a rooftop tent on the back so there is some tilt back. I didn't get the error until fixing up the alignment a bit temporarily before I get a full alignment. I read somewhere in other Toyota forums that I may need to add a shim to the sensor on the front to correct the angle.
I started getting a system Malfunction error on my dash after installing a 2.5 in readylift. I read on older tacomas that this is sometimes an issue when doing lifts. It has disabled all my driver assists including cruise control, lane kept, etc.
Has anyone run into this issue and is there a fix?
Awesome do you think these will work with a rear spacer lift? I am going to install the 1" spacer lift back there with my readylift 2.5" kit.
I wonder if anyone has made a bump stop for the front yet, that would be next after fixing the rear..
Following, I am on stock suspension and bottom out ALOT with my TRD offroad with rooftop tent and loaded camping gear. The front bottoms out on speed bumps are moderate speed. I was offroading yesterday and I hit my skidplate a couple times because of how much the front bounced.
Need a...
I got a couple rock chips there too. The stock mudflaps are useless. I have rock sliders with top plate on the way but it's been like 3 months lead time! I plan to put some PPF there and get some bigger mud flaps. Waiting for Rekgen ones because ARK full size is HUGE and Rokblok is a bit expensive.
