My ticket about the poor design of the desert air intake was also shoved down to the dealer. They can't do anything. All they told me was that Toyota was aware they had an issue. Really? Toyota has redesigned that cover and I'm fighting to get that new cover. Dealer can't help because...
Now that Toyota has a redesigned intake cover, has anyone heard of Toyota fixing their cover? I have the question into my local service manager with no answer to date.
Someone, perhaps the poster here, had these on the FB Trailhunter group. Wife has trouble getting in and out of the truck, so these removable steps seem to be the answer.
It's been 3 months now. Just got off the phone with my dealers customer service manager. Maybe October 21...maybe. Told him this was getting beyond frustrating. New truck, new parts and they are all going to the factories supporting new builds. I understand all that. At least it's not s...
Trailhunter comes standard with them. Worth $599, if yoy really like, want or need them. Nice around camp. I suppose they could be used offroad to light up the sides of the trail. Toggle switch lower left from steering wheel. On, Door and off are the three positions.
I liked the look of it and that's about it. As others have said, it's not compatible with a tonneau cover. I needed the tonneau cover to protect and secure my camping gear.
5' bed. Offroading I wanted a better turning radius and breakover. Wheelbase is longer than my old Landcruiser to begin with, and turning isn't as good. 6' would have been worse.
What been said about brakes is spot on. I don't know about I UT other states, but in Commifornia any trailer over 1500 lbs must have brakes, electric or surge.
Without looking back, I've been waiting probably close to 2 months to get the DS bed scene rail to replace a DOA rail on my Trailhunter! Still waiting. They've missed 2 promised arrival dates so far. End of August and September 11 both come and gone without a part.
