I just removed my ARB Sport Bar and I did remove some of the bolts in the rails to be able to remove them. I didn’t remove all the bolts, just enough to be able to move the rails an inch or so.

That's probably the best shot of the fuel tank I've seen. There really just isn't much room. I highly doubt a Tundra tank is going to fit as a drop in replacement. I really don't think Toyota dropped from 21 gallons to ~18 gallons to juice the numbers.

I don’t think it is about juicing numbers. Look at pictures and videos of the underside of a Taco with a full size spare. There is very little room.
I would think the Tundra bed is longer which is one reason why the tank can be bigger
