  1. Seat Clunk TRD PRO

yes, I think so. My guess is there is some type of urethane bushing in there that’s supposed to allow it to slide smoothly without metal to metal contact but it’s not sliding smoothly.
  2. Seat Clunk TRD PRO

Dealer looked at mine today. The cloudy gauges were obvious but they couldn’t reproduce the noise at first. It’s kinda quirky in that it feels fine unless you know exactly how to reproduce it. I had the tech sit in the seat relaxed and push his back into the seat until it flexed back a little...
  3. Seat Clunk TRD PRO

Mine too. Going in for first service tomorrow. This and the cloudy gauges will get reported. These are the only issues I’ve had with it so far at 6600 miles. Overall, I love this truck way more than any of the other 5 tacos I’ve owned.
  4. Seat Clunk TRD PRO

I tried taking the bolts out on the back cover but they didn’t loosen easily so I stopped. It felt like there was a captured nut on the backside that was trying to turn in its seat. I really want to see what’s behind that cover.
  5. Mud flaps

They do have a mud guard kit for the 24. I’m not sure how much protection they’re going to provide, just installed them, but at least they look ok. I bought on aftermarket set but they looked way too cheap and I never installed them. Wrong fasteners, poor design, just ugly. The ones in this kit...
  6. Shudder coming to stop - transmission death or normal?

I’ll just point out that the hybrid does some things that may seem strange at first. So far it just seems to be a hybrid being a hybrid. Cutting the engine at stop lights is one. I was aware some hybrids do that but didn’t realize what it was at first. There’s a lot of behaviors that may seem...
  7. Protecting your turbo - turning off the hybrid engine

You actually can force it to not turn off at idle. Turn on Tow/haul mode and it won’t shut off the ICE. Not saying you should do that. Just saying that’s one thing Tow/haul mode does.
  8. Seat Clunk TRD PRO

Both seats do it. I think it’s normal. I think it’s just allowing a little movement backward but not forward. I was going to ask the dealer when I take it in for 5k service. The glass on the pressure gauges on mine is a little cloudy so they will need to address that as well.
  9. Seat Clunk TRD PRO

Occurs both engaged and disengaged. I watched a few YouTube videos on it last night and I think this might be normal. It has shocks for left/right movement and up/down movement but not front to back. The chief engineer said it did have a mechanism for the seat to move back a little but not...
  10. Seat Clunk TRD PRO

Mine clunks as well. When you push backward at the top of the seat it’s like it flexes back and when it springs back forward, it hits a hard stop and you feel it it the seat.
  11. TSB: 2024 Tacoma Transmission Failures Issue & Replacement (9/9/24). Updated w/ VIN Lookup Tool

My VIN starts the same. I think that means we aren’t in the TSB.
  12. Steps for rock sliders on TRD PRO?

There are threaded holes in the chassis on the pro for the rock slider so it would be easy to add the ones off the TH. As far as removing the sill protectors, they use different mounting holes obviously but I’m not sure if they would interfere. I suspect they probably would.
