I asked Dongar on their website and got this reply:
The Pro+ module has a different size and is bigger than the Pro. You can still use the same harness so you don't have to unplug it from your vehicles; however, the mount is different, and you need to use the one that will come with the Pro+.
I generally get about 16 mpg because my commute is the worst kind for gas mileage, but this weekend, I managed a surprising 23 mpg! We were on a scout camping trip to Anza-Borrego State Park.
The biggest factor was following our Boy Scout trailer at a slowish 55-60 mph. Coincidentally, I...
If I'm swapping from the previous Pro to this new Pro+, is it as easy as unplugging the old unit and plugging this one in its place? So reuse the same power harness and cradle mount?
You can do that with a Carista ($30 at Amazon, but also need $15 monthly subscription). Maybe a dealership would also be able to turn this off for you?
I want to turn it off because my dog triggers the alarm, and it's gotta be the loudest out of any car I've ever had.
My rack is fine, but there's a huge caveat. I uninstalled the rack from my truck after our camping trip so that I can keep using automated car washes. The good news is removal (and I'm assuming reinstallation) is really fast. I just marked the arm locations with some black tape on my Retrax for...
I've used the folding grab handle on the front passenger side and I always feel like it's a little weak. I really like the sturdiness of the grab handles for the rear entries. I wonder if that would be too disruptive on the A pillars though.
That's very worrisome. My bed rack is on order from them, so it feels too late to back out now. Also, they have a feature that I haven't really seen elsewhere, which is the variable height of the cross bars. I definitely appreciate the heads up @BuriedFriend.
On a previous car, I'm pretty sure I used a 3/8" hose that required a heat gun to get onto the nipple, and then it was tight once it cooled. Given that you're mounting kind of permanently, maybe a hose clamp is a viable solution.
True, but I'm not that unhappy. I have the Wildpeak A/T4Ws, and they are quiet and comfortable. It's just a bit of gas mileage penalty. I'm just not going off road enough to the point where I'd need C over SL, but I didn't know that at the time. It's an interesting hindsight question though. If...
I agree that the factory hardware doesn’t seem to be the best. I rounded off one of the nuts when doing the exhaust delete. Given that it happened during removal and not tightening, the torque spec wouldn’t have helped me though. My “solution” was to order these front recovery points so that I...
I see what you mean now. I didn’t want to grind down the grounding bolt because I like it would put too much angle on the wire. Instead, I put a pack of M8 zinc washers under the grounding bolt.
6 washers was too many, but 4 seemed about right. Not that big of a deal either way, since it’s...
My plan is to put this upTOP rack on my Retrax

This summer, I’ll use it at a lower height and put a Yakima Skybox on top when I go camping. But it also gives...
@BearTacos Looks great matched with the Pro hood badge and wheel accents!
I did some prep work last night to attach the filler plates, and I realized a little too late that the metal there is really soft. I was warping the plates by overtightening, but it looked fine after I loosened everything...
