Update: Got the motor replaced under warranty and all is well at present.
I had numerous videos capturing the motor ranging from an obvious and abnormal groan to virtually silent and was able to get the motor replaced. I'm not convinced the problem's gone as it seems quite a few others are...
Ordered a couple pieces of carbon fibre (matte, 100x25x2.5mm) with the hopes of replacing the cheapish looking TRD decal at the base of the steering wheel.. free handed the angle grinder which was probably my biggest mistake, taking a hair too much away to the lower right corner :p
Similar to this thread from a 2024 I have the noisy wiper motor. In my case: seems to be worst in the cold, also constant, but becomes intermittent else barely noticeable in warmer weather. This recording taken April/spring, in Toronto. Captures the noise at around half of what is was in Feb/March.
I would be weary of placing MagSafe on top of the OEM wireless charging pad.. Looks to be a simple fuse for non-hybrid, unfortunately pry tool for hybrid.
If you have a hybrid and don't want to disable the wireless charge matt I would suggest placement to the right or else a thin metal plate...
Would yoube willing to share the image for this (preferably vector format) so I can play around with vinyl cutter decals? Would be happy to send you a bunch of any colors, up to ~12"
True. At moderate listening levels it's functional IMO. What I actually like about the left/front only is my music doesn't mute out continuously while I'm getting texts/whatsapps/etc as it does with my other car.
For those that want to subvert the OEM CarPlay behaviour with Siri altogether...
Agreed, road force balance ftw.
I had a really hard time with a set of aftermarket wheels and tires on my last Taco. Dealer rebalanced twice then claimed it was a known defect and installed a funky weight on springs inside the steering wheel [which was silly.. but free] then claimed it was my...
Fox doesn't appear to have them listed
Previous generations + potential incorrect matches for 2024+ on various Toyota OEM parts sites:
ptr61-35240-rr (RF, LF, RR, LR) <-- most typically for these parts.. likely these aren't correct
Correct, thought that was obvious. I hope I'm not offending with the stiff road feedback comment. Truck-wise I'm comparing my 2025 TRD Pro to my 2011 Gen 2 Tacoma Sport Premium. Carwise a 2022 Boxster (GTS 4.0, second-stiffest of the bunch next to the Spyder).. and to be clear: I feel road...
Would this be 1 or 3?
Ahh, external post:
"The adjusters is on the bottom of both the front and rear shocks and has 3 settings; Zone #1, Zone #2 and Zone #3. Zone #1 is what the Pro model comes off the factory floor at, a setting meant for appropriate on road characteristics. Zone #2 is meant...
TRD Pro folks, have any of you tested all 3 zone/settings and what are your QS3 shocks set to for road driving?
I'm presently at 1 on all four wheels. EDIT: QS3 manual linked below. I love the lack of sway/sag but am surprised how rough the ride is. I feel every crack in the road, more-so than...
They weren’t completely removed at fast wrap, just loosened and pulled outwards to wrap around the quarter panel flush edges. FWIW, I’d be shocked if there’s more to it than a pry tool and the wheel well screws.
Agreed - It wasn't even close for me.. There's a heck of a lot more truck and value to the TRD Pro IMO - up here in Canada they're the same price (both low 80s)... and there was a *lot* I didn't like about the Raptor. Regardless, I'll be on the lookout for a snappier throttle re-map -- I'm not...
