I actually haven't, life stuff and busy work stuff, plus weather kept me from getting to it in December. I don't have a garage to work in. I have an appointment for installation here at the beginning of January. Looking forward to it as I am looking into how big of tires I am going to run...
Seems like folks are getting 17 inch wheels on the hybrid models. I had heard that the brakes were bigger and it might be an issue. Have more tire options at better pricing with 17 inch wheels. I would like confirm with someone that they will fit though.
I bought the same skid plate on the off-road hybrid and did not need a cross brace. It is heavy at 50 lbs, but can't imagine anything getting through it. Weird choice of Toyota to put the flimsy plastic skid plates on the off road. It did seem like the engine sits higher on the frame, so maybe...
Hey all, I have a 18 inch wheel on my off-road hybrid, does anyone know if it will take a 17 inch aftermarket wheel? Seems like I read something about a larger front disc caliber?
So maybe I need to tighten the preload collar at 1 inch to get two inches of lift? Trying to decide what size tire to go with. I love the look of the 35's but probably not all that practical for me.
I don't know this alignment cam trick you mentioned earlier either? Do you just mark before you...
That is great to hear, I am excited to get them on and give them a try. We are deep in winter now too, and my typical dirt roads I am on are now mud and snow. It will be a good mix of driving to try them on. Did you stick with the stock bump stops in the back? I am starting to get a load back...
No unfortunately, had a few life things that have made me have to postpone the install. More than likely will be a couple of weeks before I can get back to it. How is the ride? I saw you mention that you had to get different external reservoir mounts?
On my last Tacoma build I ran the OME BP 51's and was really happy with the ride, but adjusting compression and rebound was a pain in the ass. Sure mostly set and forget but I occasionally changed the load in the bed and it required to reset both compression and rebound. We will see how this...
I tested the out yesterday with a small heater. I wasn't sure but I definitely had to turn the truck on to activate the 110. It ran the whole time I was using the heater. It was in normal mode, but maybe if I put it in eco it will kill the engine at some point? It was unclear in the video if he...
