2024 SR5 4x4 Taco - how do I shift in Neutral if truck dies?

Hi, does anyone know how to shift the 2024 SR5 4x4 taco to neutral when truck is off? Like what if it had to be towed or dies and I needed to push it away from traffic? Thank you!

Well if it won't shift into neutral, the tow truck driver could just disconnect the driveshaft to allow the truck to move.
These days there are some fancy tow trucks that have a like crane arm that just lifts it up onto the tow trucks flatbed.

Yep thanks. But doesn’t answer my question. Maybe there is not a way other than disconnecting stuff.

Thanks loads CrispyTacoLover! I had less than 3,000 miles on my 2024 Limited when my buddy used the truck and mistakenly fueled it up with diesel fuel. I was stuck on the side of the highway and the engine wouldn't start. I had to tow it but I couldn't get it out of gear. I couldn't tow it more than about 10' before I gave up. I sure I wish I knew what you just posted. I didn't know if my engine was shot or how much damage was done. As it turns out, it's no big deal. All they had to do was drain the gas tank and service the injectors. Cost less than $1,500. Here's the good part, the service manager told me to check my "comprehensive" coverage of my insurance policy. WHAM, it was covered. The service manager also said you wouldn't believe how often it happens, several times a month.
