2024 Tacoma Fuel Door won’t close

I have the exact same problem. 2024 TRD Off-road IMax hybrid. Fuel door broke in the first week of purchase. It won’t close and I get the fuel door open warning.

took it back to the dealer and they said the fuel door needs replaced but the fuel door is on back order. Still waiting after 3 weeks. Frustrating …

On my 24 trail hunter I got the fuel door open warning light a week after purchase. Took to two dealers and they had to replace the mechanism which was on back order and it was called a recall. It took 4 months and 12000 miles but it’s fixed finally.

Wow. Glad they fixed it, but 4 months seems ridiculous for a relatively minor fix. Did you just live with the warning for 4 months taking up almost the entire middle half of your instrument cluster?
