6 speed manual problems?

Hey all.

For those who had faulty manual transmissions, what were the first signs? I’m at 1,100 miles and I’m noticing knocking noises while accelerating. The noises come from the middle of the truck where transmission is and not the engine. I test drove an automatic last week and it sounded a lot smoother than mine. I know it’s two different transmissions but makes me wonder if the MT just sounds like that or it’s supposed to be as smooth sounding as an automatic. Please lmk

I have a manual tranny with a little over 3,000 miles and definitely no knocking noises. Should be just as smooth as the autos. Not sure if that's one of the tsb symptoms but I would take that in asap.
