I plan on placing a deposit if the numbers are good. Range, HP, torque, 0-60, estimated MSRP, etc.

production planned in 2026 / deliveries in 2027.

Leak: the numbers won't be good.

No, I don't think that the numbers will be good either.

My wife has an electric suv and it is very nice, but in no way are current EVs able to compete with an ICE vehicle. HP, torque and 0-60 will almost surely be good @Mini2nut , but I don't think decent ranges are going to happen any time soon.

There are things that I do like about electrics, don't get me wrong. But even the best ranges available mean a lot of recharging on longer drives and charging stations are still hard to find, and charging takes a long time in the real world. It is even harder to imagine going off road in an EV until ranges improve a lot.

Maybe this will be a breakthrough and the Scout will lead the way. It will happen eventually and it will be good to follow the Scout as we learn more about it.

The company Ford and Rivian I'm familiar with equal or beat the range of my 2024 Tacoma. Even where the EVs might be shy of my Tacoma range they don't waste the time I do at gas stations. They start the day full, and can charge at or near most of their destinations.

Now that I see the pickup profile for Scout I can hope it won't be a near useless to me short bed, and have a config as the Rivian polls sent to R2 waiting list people hinting dual motor, reasonable performance and a good range and price point.

All of the (computer) armchair vehicle designer comments make me cringe. I’m excited to see what it looks like but really don’t care. If I Iike it, cool. If I don’t, I don’t. All the comments about its look (of a fricking silhouette) are tiring. Just me?

The pricing estimates were in the $50k's. I don't see either model selling for less than $65k.
