AMP Bed Extender installed (3rd gen part fits perfectly)

Installed my bed extender yesterday. I do not like the V shaped OEM or other similar designs. I am a fan of the AMP Research extenders because the use no pins or other hardware to hold them in the brackets. I had one in my ''18 TRD Off Road and took it out and put it in m,y '22 model. When I traded the '22 in on the '24., I assumed it wouldn't fit so left it in the '22. AMP does not show one available for the 24 and even the one for the third gen is sold out everywhere I've looked. I finally order a "Used like New" one off Ebay and got it yesterday. Yes, it ks for the third gen and exactly like the one that I had. It fits perfectly, even with my BakFlip MX4. Even the premarked dimples for drilling location are in. the perfect location for the AMP bracktets. I'm, very happy with it. Literally took less than 30 minutes to install from opening the box to being done.

Looks like mine. I removed it a couple of weeks ago as we've been carrying way more stuff in the bed than I had anticipated. But thinking about putting it back in soon.

I ended up buying the OEM unit—got it at a discount, but I still don’t like the V-shape. I had an AMP in my Tundra, and it was great. I might try to sell the OEM one and pick up an AMP instead.

hold up - the 2024s have premarked dimples for a bed extender? i literally just took my AMP off my 2016 to save for my imminent 2024, so this additional simplicity would be fantastic news. i have the quick release attachments, don't recall if that matters.

Be careful... the dimples don't fit every extender out there. Mine, for instance, is not an OEM, so it had to be installed in a slightly different spot.

I figured some would be different with height, hole location on the brackets, etc. The AMP fit perfectly though.
