A/C Manual system question?

my sr5 has the Manuel a/c system and here’s my question, I noticed when I set the temperature dial to the coldest setting the air blows through the vents hard, when I move the temperature dial up one notch the air flow slightly decrease almost like the fan slows down a bit without touching the actual fan speed dial. I found this odd, anyone else notice this on their trucks?

Good point but it doesn’t mention anything in owners Manuel. Not a big deal just curious.
