Would I be able to fit 285/75/17 with the alldogs spring lift? It says it’s a 1.5in lift and I’d keep the stock shocks on the trd off road and just replace the coil and strut springs. Would this be a worse alternative to just a standard spacer lift?

here’s the link to the springs:

I’ve got 33.2” tires on mine without any suspension modifications. Do you know how tall those tires are? Anything at or around 33” will fit on these trucks without issue. If you’re pushing close to 34”, you will need to remove the crash plate on the front wheel wells with or without a lift, and you may also have to do some minor trimming to ensure there’s no rubbing, especially with the stock OR wheels.

Oh nice, yeah there just below 34”, there 33.8” to be exact. so they should fit just fine with little to no rubbing and with the 1.5” lift should help it a little more right? I’ll also be keeping the stock rim.

There is an AllDog’s thread that was just posted with more details on this setup just a couple of days ago.

I’d say that’s closer to pushing 34”, so like I said, you will almost definitely need to remove those crash plates to prevent rubbing. The stock wheels have a +45 offset, so all the meat of those tires will be inside the wheel wells. For example, my wheels are a +20 offset with a 275/70R18 tire (there’s a little bit of tire poke outside of the fenders), and my tires still just barely clear those crash plates. Fortunately, they’re super easy to remove if you need to. The lift doesn’t really give you much added space, if any, when you consider that the wheels and tires will still be going up and down with the suspension. The wheel wells won’t get any bigger unless you do some modifications. Get what I’m saying?

Ohh okay i see yeah I might have to go
With 285/70/17, seeming like that might be the good option here. Thank you for the info this helped a lot with deciding on tire size! Also are you running trail hunter rims?

No problem! 285/70s will definitely fit. There’s a ton of folks rocking that size, and you’ll have a ton of tire options in that spec as well. Yes, those are the TH wheels.
