Ok. I had the issue with lights coming on randomly. Tried multiple fuses in the fuse box under the hood…no luck.

read somewhere the fuse box under the passenger side dash was the one to use.
Used USB 2.
No more random lights.

On this column are 4 20a yellow and 4 10a red fuses. The last one next to the empty slot

I would suggest not buying the Tacoma Lifestyle kit. It’s overpriced for what it is. They all function the same but just behind a different name.
These are my cheap amazon versions that I installed myself. I tinted them myself also. The white LED bars were just too much. Needed a more oem look.
They look and function just like the Toyota Lifestyle version. In all, probably about $80-90 spent including the tint.

How did you tint these? I received mine yesterday and I agree the white LEDs are too much.

Yes, running into the passenger compartment to the USB2 fuse worked.

Ever once in a while, the lights will turn on randomly, but they’re only on for a few seconds and then they’re off. I have had the lights for about 2 1/2 months, I’m not worried about it. The photo was just to show where they are plugged in the driver side under the hood fuse box

Just run your Red power wire to this firewall behind the battery - There is a nipple there. Nip off the end and run the red wire through it (will need to add a length of wire to make it longer). It will come out right above the interior Fuse box on the passenger side. Attach a fuse tap and use the USB2 fuse.

You will need to remove the panel under the passenger side dash to access the fuse box (4 clips to push and pull down.

The fuse box lid will not go back on with the fuse tap. I just used electrical tape to lightly attach it back or you could just leave it off and put it the cover in the glovebox.
