Hey folks, has anyone found ACC wiring under the rear seats or under the hood by chance?
Fuse panel, dash/head unit and rearview mirror areas are good to go however I have a couple devices that need to be hidden elsewhere;)
Update: I didn't bother with the rear seats and have hidden a couple trackers/immobilizers behind panels throughout the cab.
Mirror power supply:
On certain models the rear view mirror's wiring harness has 12V ACC and negative wires but no 12V Batt/constant supply. This is sufficient for some satellite+cellular trackers but your location will not be updated if the vehicle is moved with the ignition in off position.
Head unit power supply [photo below]:
On all models the stereo/head unit has both 12V ACC and Battery wires. The main harness/connector to the HU will be white on some units, grey on others and is generally located towards the left of the HU rear. Battery +12V is pin 1 row 1 (top left), ACC is pin 1 row 2 directly below the battery. Use the side of the HU for negative car ground.
Fuse box:
Has both ACC + Batt, of course, however this is likely the too obvious a location for my use case
