I wanna use a small TV in the bed for tailgating using the 120v outlet. Could I run it for a couple of hours having the engine off and not kill the battery?

I’m don’t think it will work with the engine off.

i use the 120V/2400W inverter to charge my camper battery while I am driving, then use the camper battery for living at camp. a 500Whr power station (about $300 bucks) would charge in 15 minutes of driving and would power a normal TV for several hours.

In the summer months I use mine to power a Dometic freezer for transport of ice cream and perishables from the store, and on road trips use the fridge to transport food putting things in the hotel mini fridge at night. The Dometic fridge/freezers draw a lot of amps at 12VDC and typical car outlets can’t handle it, but it also can take120VAC and it works great.
