I've been getting all kinds of ads for bam beds. From what I can tell they are basically plywood fitted to fit over the little shelf (not sure what they are called) so they sit about half way up the bed. They look like a cool product but I'm thinking $550 seems like a lot for what I think are essentially cuts of plywood. Has anyone else seen this and does anyone have any good diy suggestions.
