I just RnR the L rear bumper cap on my 2024 Tacoma SR. I was able to do it without removing the bumper. The bumper curled up at th edge. You can barely see it. There was some bending back into shape to do on the bumper and body. I did it myself. I'm just general knowledge kind of guy when it comes to vehicles and home stuff.
There are three parts to the bumper cap install. These parts are incredibly weak. It took a small bump accident to break the cap stay, the plastic that holds the cap. The cap clips are as thin as dimes. You can see the bumper cap was off a bit. I was holding it with tape. The last picture showe the final install.
I saw your tube on how to remove bumper. Remove top bumber cap. Carefully undo clips that hold bumper cover. Find wood wedge or something to keep bumper cover elevated. Everything else is easy. I took off tailgate to work better. It took a couple of hours. Oh yeah I'm using a screw clamp to make it harder for thieves to take tailgat.
