Can you remove the TRD PRO emblems from the hood?

Hello guys,

looking to remove the hood emblems on the TRD pro? Can they be removed safely without leaving any holes or cutouts behind as in they are only being held by double sided tape?

That should be possible. Emblems like that are almost always just double taped onto the paint and you can use something like dental floss to cut under them. Then any tape residue can be removed with something like Goo Gone. All of that goes better on a hot day, which you should have in Texas.

Hopefully someone has already done this and can confirm, but I have not seen any emblems with mechanical fasteners in years.

Every decal is attached with double-sided tape or a type of glue. When I had my entire Trailhunter covered with PPF, the installers removed and then reinstalled every decal. Honestly, if I was thinking at the time, I would have had them reinstall all the Trailhunter decals but left off the other Hybrid engine stuff.

Yeah - when I had my PPF done I only let them put back the hood badges and left off the tailgate letters and hybrid stuff.

They can be removed without any issues, its only double sided tape.

take your time , heat softens the adhesive
a hot day with the truck in the full sun & either dental floss or fishing line
use the line/floss to cut the adhesive between the badge & the paint job like a cheese slicer .
You can use a hair dryer but be very careful not over heat the paint job
Do Not use a heat gun you will melt the badge on to the truck , that's a bad thing
