Want a cozy winter car camping trip in your trunk? Here's how to stay warm:
  • Insulation: Line your trunk with blankets, sleeping pads, or a dedicated trunk liner for extra insulation against the cold car metal.
  • Layers: Dress in layers to adjust to changing temperatures.
  • Sleeping Bag: Get a winter bag rated below freezing.
  • Sleeping Pad: Use a well-insulated pad.
  • Ventilation: Crack a window slightly to prevent condensation and ensure fresh air. Be mindful of drafts.
  • Extra Warmth: Use hot water bottles, hand/foot warmers, and extra blankets.
  • Warm Meal & Hydration: Eat a warm dinner and stay hydrated.
  • Pre-warm Bag: Use a hot water bottle (sealed tight!) to pre-warm your sleeping bag.
  • Organize: Keep your gear organized to maximize space and minimize cold spots.
Enjoy the snow!

Along this line , i think it would be great to see sombody make a heavy duty , rugged be air mattress, designed exactly with the specs to fit a tacoma truck bed …..i know a lot of taco guys are outdoorsmen , myself i fly fish in remote areas, how nice to have some comfort in the truck bed when sleeping in it
