Thank you for the response. I have sent an email to CBI voicing my concerns. I'll circle back to this forum to let you know about their response and any action(s) I will take after that.

Adding to the saga.. Sounds like fog lamps brackets still not available for the Covert Bumper. So if you have Fog Lamps and want to keep them, I would wait on purchasing a Covert Bumper until they have brackets available with the bumper. And if you have a Hybrid with a grill shutter, I would suggest not getting the Covert Bumper. Winch does not fit. CBI now knows this and had no answer. The control unit is going to have to be moved as to not interfere with the grill shutter. Will let you guys know where we put it once we figure that out.. I dont know about other after market manufacturers but i think CBI rushed out not completely proven designs and not really standing behind their product.. Disappointing because everyone Ive talked to has said they are great company and products.. I guess just not on a new platform..

I am disappointed to hear about CBI's customer service response to this and their less-than-functional product release. Until recently, I have been fairly enamored with their products...bummer.

That is a bummer, that leaves Cali with the better option for a front bumper it sounds like. I recieved and installed my CBI sliders last night, non-hybrid. They were a perfect and direct bolt on. Some very simple paper instructions with them would have been nice, you will have some left over hardware on the short beds. Ill attach a few pics, dont mean to thread hi-jack, but the sliders do seem to be excellent quality (just dont order them from one of the 3rd party drop shippers).

Oh boy. My CBI frame sliders are finally arriving today (10 week wait). I guess I will see first hand soon enough.
I think they took measurements off of a non hybrid truck so if you have a non hybrid you should be ok. I really think the issues are going to be on the hybrids because they was a small gap between productions of both non hybrid and hybrid

Depends on whether you have Hybrid or not and whether they corrected things in the past 6 weeks since I got mine. Good luck. They are really nice once you get them on.
I have a 2024 Trailhunter and I placed an order for a set of Overland sliders to replace the OEM sliders. After reading about some difficulties bolting the CBI sliders straight up to a hybrid Tacoma, I contacted CBI. They indicated that there were some issues, but those issues have been resolved. They told me that the sliders will bolt onto the factory attachment points. Still in the que to get the sliders...we'll see.

I believe CBI/Prinsu gets early access to the vehicles due to their relationship with Toyota, specifically being a part of the AAP Program.

Other non-AAP brands can also get slightly earlier vehicle access (although it will be one or two trims, not everything) before release via the SEMA Garage sessions, which we have been a part of from the outset.

Unfortunately, early access to vehicles can cause issues; at any point, Toyota can change the design in production without any notification to the aftermarket brands, making scans and development redundant. This could be a part of the issue, especially with the sliders.

There is no substitute for verification against production vehicles. Again, even with this, the OEM can make random changes to production, throwing aftermarket brands/products into a heap of re-work. (Jeep/Ram are consistent offenders). Usually, and unfortunately, these tend to be discovered by the consumer/install shops first.

None of this helps with the issue, but hopefully, it sheds some light on the process and how these things can happen.
