Which model NLight did you use? What did you do with the grill and the placement of the light bar?

I took a chance on this 7” bar and it worked. How long it will last is tbd?? So I just centered it and then ran the wire to the AUX 1 location inside the engine bay next to the coolant reservoir.

Did you need to remove all the hood scoop components and drill a hole for the wire I would suppose?

I wonder if this one would fit which is the same model but is 10" instead of the 7".

That may fit but without the brackets. You would probably have to use double sided tape. I did take the scoop off and drill a hole for the wire to run through. It comes off easily so if you end up getting the 10 inch and it works then let me know.

I would prefer the Nlight as they are a tiny bit smaller, but they only have them in white, not amber which is what I would prefer. I don't think either of these are for street legal usage.

Yeah that’s why I went with the nilight. The cavity inside the scoop is tiny. These definitely are not for street legal use but it’s worth a try. Not hard to attempt.

So I took a chance with this light bar and it fits like a glove. I just used double sided tape on the bottom of the light bar. Also while I had the engine cover off I went ahead with my left over sound deadening and applied it underneath. With the added weight of that plus the light bar it did minimize the infamous hood shake. Not but definitely much better. Anyways thanks again with this link! Idk how I missed it.

How do you find the brightness of this light bar? Is it something that can be used for regular DRL, or should it be on a separate switch for usage when necessary?

It’s bright for what it is for sure but yeah it needs to be on its own switch. I hooked it to aux 1

I am going to give this 2 power Amber one a try and use the low connection with my other DRL lighting. It also has a High Brightness mode too which I am not sure how I will use that. Perhaps on my switch when needed.

If I was doing a light install in the scoop.....I'd be so tempted to paint or wrap the scoop black while I had it removed from the hood.
