Extended Lug Nuts vs. Normal Lug Nuts

Those of you running aftermarket wheels, who’s using Extended Lug Nuts and who’s using Normal Lug Nuts? (Conical seat)

I’ve seen some people say they’re running ET lugs but are they a requirement for after aftermarket wheels? I already have wheels and lugnuts so I’m hoping I don’t need to buy new lug nuts lol
