Hey guys! Bought a used 2024 Tacoma which in typical Tacoma fashion had big scratches all the way across the screen covering the gauge cluster. I used PlastX which got rid of the big scratches beautifully, but left me with AWFUL micro-swirls all over the screen when the sun hits it just right (otherwise it looks crystal clear). My plan is to order a replacement screen at some point which I will immediately put a screen protector on before installation. My question is, does anybody have any clue how to get to this screen yet? :cwl: I heard it was an easy job on previous generations of the Tacoma so I’m really hoping for the same on the 4th gen. Thanks in advance for any help yall!

Suggest before attempting what could be an annoying fix - try a screen protector now first. It might be good enough to leave as is.

Mine got the swirls from lightly dusting it with a microfiber cloth! It’s really bad in certain lighting. I’ll try the screen protector:)

A new, wet microfiber gave me really bad swirls, however I was able to hide them with the screenprotech kit. Don't see them at all anymore. Lesson learned; install a screen protector right away since the dash plastic is made out of jello.... thankfully with the kit I can avoid installing a new gauge cluster cover which is a much bigger job relative to a screen protector.

That screen is SENSITIVE. I had the same issue. Went at it softly with a microfiber cloth and it left a big scratch across the plastic! I was pretty bummed about it.
