  1. Transmission Failures Keep Coming

I purchased in early June and mine is past the TSB.
  2. I don’t understand the hype

So I don’t have the SR5, I needed a new vehicle a few months back and saw a TRD OR with upgrade package (not premium) for $2.5k off MSRP and I went for it. I can appreciate some of your gripes. Especially for the price. And to those of you who say that’s just what trucks cost, I both agree with...
  3. Windshield replacement costs?

So I posted about my experience with safelite back in July. Basically they came out to fix a chip at suggestion of my insurance. Chip was less than a cm and not deep at all. he punched my windshield with a sharp metal tool and it cracked. He said it would be fine and then crack was stable and...
  4. 6 ft bed mat - my DIY 6x4 rubber bed mat

I am also looking at getting a mat from a local feed and supply store. Home Depot has some options as well with a similar underside texture as the OEM that’s available for the short beds. The cardboard template is a great idea and I’m going to do the same, thanks for that suggestion.
  5. 6 ft bed mat - my DIY 6x4 rubber bed mat

I see you later bought the TripleA liner. How does it compare to your DIY? I really want rubber, not TPE. About to buy and cut my own like you did. Have to say I’m really put off there are no OEM mats for the long beds. It’s halfway through September. Really annoying. Sorry for the rant.
  6. Rough transmission shifts

I have to say it is more nuanced than that.
  7. Rough transmission shifts

I’m having occasional rough shifts from 1-2 and 2-3 in the mornings or after the truck has been sitting a while. Once I’ve cycled through once it generally shifts very smoothly the rest of the drive. I have taken the time to let the truck warm up, and it will still sometimes rough shift. I’ve...
  8. Need help deciding between Sport or Offroad

There’s some other differences discussed here: https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/threads/2024-trd-sport-vs-trd-offroad-differences.2172/page-2
  9. A special thread for the long-bed?

Right on man:) I’ve also had a few frustrations with long bed accessories. Mostly just the OEM bed mat. But initially with some bed caps too (which I’ve still yet to buy). But I’ll go ahead and add that it if it’s coupled with the double cab it has a really bad turning radius! Haha but I want to...
  10. New Tacoma in NorCal

Nice truck! Are you in Spenceville in those pictures?
  11. Taco Garage - TITANIUM heritage/pro grille bracket

Man that’s super cool and I want to say I admire the skill set and knowledge needed to do this and appreciate you offering them out at such a reasonable price. That being said I need to buy a camper shell and sliders before I can think about spending money on a different grille :) I haven’t...
  12. Anyone Install Seat Covers?

Thanks so much for these. My front seats arrive today. A question when you have time. Like I said, overall the back seats fit well but I cannot get this highlighted (from your picture) area to seat properly the way it did on the two seat side. Did you do anything different or special to get it...
  13. Anyone Install Seat Covers?

Mine were actually fabricated wrong. I found out after I sent them back. From what I hear the issue has been fixed and they work okay now.
  14. Anyone Install Seat Covers?

Would you be willing to take pictures? Specifically of the smaller of the two back seats where the back portion tucks under around the seatbelt? I received my rears yesterday and installed them. The split seat turned out perfect other than one hole being cut a little out of place. But the...
  15. Factory mudflaps part numbers # - from 4th gen 2024 Tacoma SR5

I just installed the micros. The rear passenger holes aren’t cut out right so only three bolts would fit. Waiting on response from ARK. The other three went in fine so I know it’s not me. I honestly don’t like them very much and don’t like how they fasten overall. Fit and finish isn’t great (qc...
  16. Factory mudflaps part numbers # - from 4th gen 2024 Tacoma SR5

You mean with the plastic rivets in place correct? Because without them the square holes are too big for bolts.
  17. Factory mudflaps part numbers # - from 4th gen 2024 Tacoma SR5

I guess they screw into the rivets. By chance does anyone know size of rivets so I can replace if I decide to remove guards?
