Decided to try the Goodyear Territory MT in 275 70r18 on my 25' Pro. I couldn't find any reviews on this tire so I figured that I'd start one. It's a C rated 6 ply with 2 ply " duratech" sidewall and weighs 45 lbs in 275 70r18. I had all 5 installed for $1100. The 275 70r18 will fit fully inflated in the factory spare tire space as well. I will update over the next few months. I drive roughly 1500 miles a month but will be taking this truck for a 2 week trip from IN to ID, WY and MT for a 3 state bear hunt hitting wilderness areas and forestry rds in the state parks as well.

How much did the C rated 6 ply tires change the ride of your Pro?
They only weighed 43 lbs, the road noise seems the same. Ride seems very similar but I have put many miles on them yet. I didn't want to put E rated tires on a mid-size truck. I keep a portable Milwaukee inflator and tire kit in the truck. I think e rated are overkill and would affect handling too much but these may be junk and I end up with e rated toyos as well? Time will tell

Edit : definitely stiffer on bumps. Fox shocks still set to 1, 35psi in the tires. The Factory tires only had 3100 miles are were worn 50% to the wear indicators between treads. We checked it against the new spare

Thanks for the info. I don't think I want E rated tires either, but I will be upgrading my tires before I do any serious off roading. These C rated tires seem like a good choice and I am hoping for more options by the time I am ready to upgrade. Look forward to hear more about the Goodyears after you get more time with them.

These are very similar to the OEM tires put on the Ford Bronco Sasquatch edition. From all the reviews they seem to be favorable except for the guys that were hard core wheeling. If im putting a 70k rig off road im not buying a factory truck im having one built. Im going to be in corn fields, forest service rds, muddy job sites and I think a C rated tire is a good middle ground. Im really hoping these work out as there are very few options. Goodyear is running a promo on these and it was $880 for 4 or $1100 for all 5.

That’s a great looking tire at a great price and a low weight. Look forward to hearing your review.

I'll be looking forward to your thoughts on these as getting new tires for my TRD Pro is on the list of things to do down the road of course. I haven't even taken delivery of mine yet and I'm still doing research on this topic. I too am in the same boat as you and want upgraded tires but only wanting to go to C or SL load tires. I really want to get some 285/70-18's but looks like I may have to settle for 275/70-18's like you got.

I've looked at those Territory MT's and Nitto Terra Grappler G3's as they both come in either C or SL. I really like the sidewalls and tread on those MT's. Thanks for jumping on the grenade and testing this setup out!!!

Thanks, these were around $750 cheaper for a set of 5 than the Nitto Ridge Grapplers I priced. I was going with the Toyo AT3 or go back with the OG Duratrac not the RT. The RT i had in 20" were nothing like the 8 + pair of original duractracs I had ran. I also got $400 trade in on my factory tires. I have expensive hobbies and won't buy junk but man im pretty tight. The 275 70r18 BARELY fits in the factory spare tire location. I have it at 35 psi and it has about 1/4-3/8" clearance. No way a 285 would fit if that mattress to you.

That is something to keep in mind about the spare tire which I haven't really thought about. I'm more curious to here what you think about the ride with them. I'm with you with the whole buy once, cry once when it comes to buying things.
