Greenlane Offroad Engine Skid Plate on TRD Sport Premium Supersonic Red

Installed a Greenlane Offroad Front Engine Skid Plate on the Tacoma this weekend after adding some 33s on 17s. Install was a breeze, and the piece is fabricated incredibly well. 6 galvanized bolts are provided with the skid plate and the crossbar add-on required for the TRD Sport used the same hardware. The crossbar add-on bolts to where the recovery hooks are in the front, providing the 2 extra bolt holes for TRD Sport, SR5 and SR trims.

I removed the front air dam and the felt skid plate from factory. I will inform others that you will need to reinstall 4 of the bolts from the front air dam back into where the wheel liner meets the front bumper. It was sandwiched in between the bumper and the front air dam before. Replace the bolts here to prevent some flappy felt wheel liners.

I'll update this post with a link when I create the other post of the wheels and tire combo I went with.

Got you, I got mine before all the hub bub. Good to know those are local. Prob a bit less than the TRD one too. Dealer hadn’t even heard of them when I got mine, had to give him the part number.

Looks nice, im on hold to order the floor boards, we dont know what this tariff thing is going to do for pricing, i spoke to them last week and they said check back in a week, i really like their product, clean and very neat

I was wondering if it would be possible to reinstall the chin spoiler. I know I am in the minority, but I would like to keep it on and replace the flimsy felt.

Ya 100% the skid plate does not affect the front air dam removal or re-installation whatsoever. There are a few things that come with the removal of the air dam, such as a bit higher mpg and the whistle from the lower control arms if you don't get the plastic caps or tape the holes.

Perfect! It has been difficult to find a skid plate that doesn't restrict reinstallation of the air dam. Most manufactures have indicated that theirs are not compatible with the air dam. So, I am glad to get your response from someone who actually has done an installation and would know if it covers the holes or gets in the way of the air dam. Thanks again and I will have to order one. I hope the tariffs don't discourage me.

I have the same skid plate on my TRD OR. Love it. Also have their rock slider/step sides and have been eyeing their roof rack.
