Hood scoop functional on 2024 Tacoma? Modify to air intake for engine bay cooling?

Anyone know if the hood scoop is functional on the 4th gen Tacomas or just for looks?

If just decorative any 3rd gen owners here know if possible to make it functional as air intake for engine bay / underhood cooling?

Either way, love how it looks!

I'm not sure we want extra engine bay cooling. Now I don't know about this Toyota 2.4L Turbo, but other direct injected turbos are having fuel dilution issues in the oil. I know Toyota has the port injectors as well, but I have no idea if this helps with that or not. Right now, on the whole, a hotter engine is a better engine. I guess we'll see with this engine.
