HOW TO: Rigid SR-L Series Lights for ARB Rear Bumper Installation

I just wanted to post a note to those considering the SRL lights for their Tacoma.

Rigid is having some supply issues so they will NOT have any SRL lights produced to ship out until at the very earliest LATE May, but maybe Late June.

We have I want to say 8 or 10 remaining flush mount SRL lights left for our plug in kits in this thread, and we have probably 75-100 of them on backorder from Rigid for resupply. However, due to that supply interruption, they won't ship any of those or anyone's out until that May/June time frame. Rigid is out of stock on the lights and their kits. Even though the site says "add to cart" that doesn't mean its in stock. They will just ship them when they have them again. We work closely with Rigid, so this is a little heads up and insight.

So, for those of you who have been on the fence. I am just letting you know. Once we are out of these, it may be a couple months before we can ship any more. So you might want to consider getting them now. Of course that just means you beat the rush.

For those who have shop connections.. All supply chains are out of stock. That includes Keystone, Meyer, Turn 14, and Premier.
We are direct with Rigid. However, many shops buy from the distribution centers mentioned. When those distribution centers are out, that means local installers/Shops have no stock either.

Sorry to paint a glum picture. I am just trying to save a few of you who may be on the fence, that for now. We have a few, but not for long...

I'm sure this has been asked and answered ad nauseam but if I wanted to order these lights for my 2025 TRD Pro, I would order this:

Just wanting to make sure. This will trigger them with the reverse lights and I will be able to toggle them with the AUX switch also? And give me the red running lights when my lights are on? Am I correct on this? Once this is confirmed I will make a purchase of your remaining stock.

Yes, that’s what I have, however I’m still working on getting power to my rear aux adaptor, going to troubleshoot more this evening (yes I have the jumper under the hood connected)

Did you check the fuse? The 3 aux fuses are under the hood on the drivers side.

I did not, however there shouldn’t be a need to I haven’t run anything, I will check that tonight

If you haven't purchased yet, we just sent our last one oh hand. However, they will be back. Just unfortunately delayed.

So, they SRL Lights are accounted for now. However, we do have the harnesses still available if you have the 53222 Rigid lights.
If not, you can still place an order and we will get your kit out as soon as the new stock arrives. Your orders will take priority.
Also, I would take note. In a Google search, there are many "Shops" showing the stand alone lights "in Stock". Even Rigids site shows them "In Stock". but they are not. Most all those shops you see pop up don't actually stock the parts in house. They drop ship them. Since Rigid and all the 3rd party suppliers are OUT, the order will go through and you will wait. If they place a Drop Ship order, it will be at the back of the line from the date you place yours.
However, even though you have to wait a little while. Your order will come from OUR incoming backorder which is at the front of the Rigid Production Shipments from 3 months ago. So you will get your kit as SOON as they have them available again. Hopefully the end of May, but Maybe the first of June.
So a word of advice. If you do try to get the lights from somewhere, you can still get our Harness setup. The lights are #53222, but CALL the place if you do. Don't just buy it because it says "in Stock" or available, because unless you somehow find a needle in a hay stack, you will have to chase them for a refund.

These are a great addition to the reverse lights, and should have come from the factory like this. The wire harness from @SPV Parts makes it easy for a rookie like me. One question for John, what is needed to connect to the factory switch on a 2025?

I have my SPC kit for my 2024 Tacoma Pro and saw on the Rigid site that these lights only use 1 amp, which I would assume would be 2 amps for both.

I am thinking of changing the rear connector pigtail in the engine compartment to use the white 5 amp wire (AUX3) instead of the original black 15 amp wire (AUX1) which would then free up to use AUX 1 (15 amp) & AUX2 (10 AMP) for other accessories up front in the engine bay or in the interior.

It seems like a waste to use up my 15 amp wire and fuse if not much power is needed. Any thoughts?

Would 5 amps be enough? If it needed a bit more I could use the green 10 amp wire instead.
