Hey everyone,
I have a 2024 Tacoma SR5 4x4 that came with the factory auxiliary harness (Locations A & B), but it did not include pigtails or factory-installed AUX buttons. Since the harness is already installed, I want to figure out how to use it without running additional wiring through the firewall.
What I Know So Far:
Location A (Engine Bay) has power and is designed for connecting accessories.
Location B (Cabin - Behind Trim Panel) is also powered, capped from the factory, and can be used for switches.
I do not have factory AUX buttons, so I need to figure out how to control these circuits using the existing harness.
What I Need Help With:
1. How do I properly connect accessories (like ditch lights) using only the existing harness?
2. How do I control the circuits without factory AUX buttons?
3. For anyone with the factory AUX buttons installed:
Can you share a picture of your switch panel so I can see what it looks like? does it directly connect to Location B, or is there another module in between?
Goal:
I want to use the factory harness as Toyota intended, without running new wires through the firewall. Any help, wiring diagrams, or photos would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
