A larger more efficient intercooler will be a benefit even on a stock truck. Cooler consistent charge temps equal the motor to not pull timing. You will really notice it pulling a trailer or running the truck hard. Livernois motorsports in Michigan did a dyno test on stock vs aftermarket larger intercooler on the 2.7 ecoboost and it was quite impressive.
