I recently returned from a 2-night 130 mile over landing trip in the desert. My '24 Off-road Tacoma performed flawlessly driving over sand, rocks and whoop de doos.
Even after driving for miles and miles over washboard dirt roads that tested the build integrity of the truck I still have no squeaks or rattles. The truck is still tight as a drum.
I feel it's a huge improvement over my 2019 3rd generation Tacoma. The 2.4T engine is a bit coarse sounding but the excellent low end torque and virtually no turbo lag is preferred over the 3.5 V6 in my prior truck and returned better fuel mileage to boot.
