Loose battery cables was cause of error message "12-Volt Battery Charging System Malfunction"

Today I was driving my 2024 Tacoma and the 12V charging system malfunction light came on. When I went to put a multimeter on the battery to see if it was charging the negative was just swinging in the breeze. Figured I'd let you guys know just to check your own.

Thanks for the heads up. Pick mine up tomorrow. I’m certain the pre-delivery inspection would caught it. LOL.
I reviewed the PDI completed by the dealer. I asked them to send it to me. It makes no mention of drive train lubricant checks. I asked them to inspect transfer case, front and rear differential fluid levels. As it is not on the PDI I may have to pay for same.
