I was pleasantly surprised how quick everything went from end-to-end, after seeing all the posts about people having to wait so long. figured I'd post a breakdown of how mine moved along. maybe things are improving.


found allocation nearby for the specs I needed on 8/10.

told was scheduled for build in September, no date yet, put $500 deposit on 8/13

notified 9/13 via dealership that build date is 9/17.

notified 10/3 via dealership that truck will arrive by end of month.

10/3 toyota .com showed delivery to south central PA between 10/12 - 10/28

10/7 toyota .com updated to delivery between 10/8 - 10/15

10/8 toyota .com no longer shows "in transit" & dealership website says "on the lot"

Is this dealership in Mechanicsburg? I built my Tacoma sport in January and I'm still waiting. Supposably being built week of September 13 and delivery between October 12- November 14. Way to long to wait.

dang. nah. this was FItzgerald Toyota in Chambersburg - and they had the allocation before I reached out to them.

3 weeks from build date to sitting in my driveway. I was expecting 2-3 times that long, from reading this forum.
