Thanks! I love a good community. Hopeful this group is less overtly political than the Jeepers!

I just want to talk mods, chew some dirt, and have fun conversations!

A fellow convert / team jumper / fed up with Wranglers guy! My Rubicon was a beast and I absolutely loved it. I just didn't love the stupid design decisions they made and the poor build quality.

I never got to anything like blowing a head gasket. But stuff just kept piling up. Something was breaking every 10k-ish miles and I just got tired of throwing money at it that I should have been spending on off-road trips.

Not sure if you enjoy off-roading, but if you do, ever been to Hidden Falls Adventure Park down here in Marble Falls? I spent a good bit of time there in the Jeep and need to plan a "learn my Taco" day there one weekend in the near future.

I have never been there. I have had friends visit the park. I think one of my wife’s friends went down last week in her 4Runner. Might be something to do.

It's a great place. They have trails ranging from levels 1-5. They recommend nothing above Level 3 for a stock 4x4. I was able to do some Level 4 trails in the Wrangler. Never had the cajones to try any Level 5 stuff in my daily driver.

Their trails are all marked on apps like onX Offroad and Gaia GPS. They also offer a digital map through Avenza Maps.

I'll be heading there some time in the next few weekends (and sticking to 1-3) trails to learn how to handle the Taco in the dirt.
