Has anyone successfully installed these NYTOP flares? Link

I have had 2 Offroad shops try and talked to 3 body shops.

The first Offroad shop tried both front flares but took them off and said the flares weren’t flat and the fact the instructions called for two layers of double sided tape it meant that gap would be visible even if the parts were flat. They then recommended I go to a body shop as they would be more familiar with mounting trim tape and adhesive promoters.

I went to three different body shops with them all telling me the parts were not straight and they didn’t think it would looks well enough to my satisfaction once they got them on. They said they would heat and use promoter but still didn’t think they would go on without gaps.

The second Offroad shop tried two different times to install them. Once heated or even under the sun the flares get soft. Almost a gummy like feeling. Very very soft at the edges. So they were able to get them on but once they cooled they began to pull again. So after seeing how they looked after sitting a couple of days they recommended taking them off as they would most likely pull away more as I drive.

I’m curious if anyone has successfully installed these and what do they look like up close.

By the way. Instructions called for two layers of double sided tape which in itself already makes it not sit flush with the body. This was not the Offroad shops idea. They did that per instructions so I can’t blame them for the flare not sitting flat. But you can see even where it does seem to sit it is wavy.

Are the Toyota flairs not available or are they crazy expensive?
Crazy expensive because it requires the front bumper as well as the front fiber wheel liners. Each factory flare are about $300 each alone. Not that these NYTOP flares at $650 were cheap or anything but oem flares are pricey.

Yeah - that is what I thought, because most of the Toyota OEM parts are expensive. I don't see how those NYTOP flairs could ever fit right though, considering how they are attached with the tape.

Good luck and I hope you can find a way to make those work.

Wondering what NYTOP had to say when you contacted them? Their product page has a ton of pics, none of them appear to show gaps like yours has.

They said it’s more of a DIY project but at the same time they also said it’s not really an Offroad shop job more of a body shop job, there’s no way their mold is wrong and to use more adhesive promoter.

I posted here because I’m wondering if anyone was able to get them on and would like to see up close images of the finished product to see how it fits against the body. But as it is, I’m probably done with those flares. I’ve spent enough money having shops put them on them only to have them remove it.

I’ve wasted enough money on this mod and could’ve just put it to pay for a good portion of oem flares and bumper costs.
