The AWE exhaust I ordered came with two non-hybrid parts, and they don't seem in a hurry to remedy my situation. I need to get a piece of machinery unstuck from the mud, but I'm hesitant to run it without exhaust behind catalytic converter in fear of damaging something. I don't see it damaging anything, but I'm not 100% sure if there could be an issue due to lack of backpressure. What is the consensus fellow Tacomaites?

It will be loud, and I haven’t crawled under my
Taco for a couple of months, but the only risk could be the exhaust temp being exposed to
Something under the truck that may cause damage for long term exposure.. can you elaborate about your AWE came
With two non hybrid parts? Did you order a non hybrid exhaust option for a hybrid Tacoma?

The install manual shows different part numbers than what I received for the first two parts. Everything else matches. The manual shows the first two pieces are G44 and G45. I received G30 and G31. I called them last Wednesday, and was told I got an old set, they revised it after the hybrids came out. I was told they would expedite shipping the two newer parts, but so far there is no indication anything has shipped. I get alerts from UPS, USPS, and FedEx anytime I have something heading my way, as I'm signed up for all three websites for alerts.

Between Magnaflow and this my truck has been down for nearly two weeks, and I'm concerned about charging the hybrid battery at this point. I'm charging the 12 volt battery, but no trickle charging for the hybrid battery.

Put the OEM on until the parts arrive if you’re worried? Hybrid battery will be fine for at least a month.

The Taco isn't my primary vehicle, so I was trying not to make more work for my self. At this point if I would have put the OEM back on after every failure, I would have uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times now between Magnaflow and AWE. :curse:

Thanks for the insight with the hybrid battery, I wasn't sure how long was too long, but I know it's bad for the hybrid battery to sit unused.

I hope you still have your stock exhaust and you May have to wait for the correct exhaust pieces.

Well it survived a short trash haul, and I gotta say it sounds awesome at idle.
Great low burble.
Give it a little beans though, and it sounds like a 1993 Honda Civic with an aftermarket exhaust.
