Picked up my new Taco 3 days ago, loving it so far!
Deposit paid 10 May 2023, but the wait has been so worth it. Traded in a 2018 Highlander Hybrid and got a fair value for it.
Paid MSRP for the Taco, it included all-weather mats, side step bars, mud guards and a full-size spare tire!
Came with 2x pigtails, one digital key card.
Canadian models do not come with a digital rear view mirror, or with electronic tailgate.
The Hybrid Off-Road does come with the chin spoiler, but to be honest (with the larger 18ā€ wheels), it doesnā€™t look bad and I may keep it on.
The wheels also have the red ā€œTRDā€ centre caps.

It drives amazingly well, has loads of power and is very quiet inside.
I do like the sound system, no issues with it.

The centre console is quite small, definitely need an organizer for it.
Iā€™ve also ordered the RSI Smart-Cap,
Will install the Icon coilover top plate and also
Timbren bump stops.

Not enough time in it yet to comment on fuel consumption, and I havenā€™t used the inverter yet.

But overall loving my Taco so far! Havenā€™t driven a truck since 2010 (2007 Taco).

Broke in the new Taco for the suggested 1000km before towing.
Took the trailer I built out for the first time.
Canopy, bed mat, gear, two occupants and tongue weight of trailer estimated around 1000 - 1100 lbs. Trailer weighs about 2500 lbs dry.
450 km (280 mi) at 14 km/100 l (16.8 mi/gal).
TRD OR Premium with towing package (iForce Max).

I used to tow with my 2018 Highlander hybrid, which had a 3.5 l engine.
the Taco feels more stable and feels like it has more power, but the Highlander had slightly better fuel economy when towing.

Im a bit disappointed in the fuel economy of the taco so far (when not towing).
Averaging about 11.3 l/100 km (20.8 mpg) with air dam on, original tires, 400m (1200 ft) elevation, quite hilly and mainly city driving- and I donā€™t have a lead foot.
The Highlander was about 2 l/100 km (5 mpg) better.

Would you be able to add some more photos of the smart cap? I'd like to see a front profile shot of the truck and from the side too see how it lines up with the lip coming off the back of the roof.

Thereā€™s some photos on a post titled ā€œSmartcap EVO bedcapā€¦ā€, maybe type that in the search bar. Sorry, Iā€™m not sure how to post a link here to that post

No, the iForce Max comes standard with the 18ā€ wheels on the TRD OR. I believe the non-hybrid comes standard with 17ā€ wheels.

what I meant was that the air dam doesnā€™t sit as low/ look as big with the 18ā€ wheels as it sits a bit higher off the ground. Sorry for the confusion!
