Toyota claims they won't raise prices immediately but we'll see how long they can actually hold the line on pricing....
https://www.reuters.com/business/au...ain-operations-despite-us-tariffs-2025-03-31/
Toyota may say one thing but in the end, its the dealership who ends up pricing the vehicles out.

I think my folks may have caught the accessories bug since they're helping me inquire about the Cast Aluminum Running Boards for my new *toy* after seeing my new toy. They just happened to be at the dealership asking for the steps when they saw another PRO that looks similar to mine except it has red interiors. The sticker price on that truck was $68K. Then the sales mgr replaced that sticker with a new price of $75K. WHAT?!? Just like that, it went up $7K. It just :explode: my mind how things changed so quickly in less than a day.

I'm just so grateful I bought my truck yesterday. Otherwise, I might not have the $$$ to buy it today. :whew:

$7k up charge is less than a 25% tariff tax
somebody is gonna figure that out & i'd bet it's sold already

I contributed to this #, buying my first ever Toyota last week. TRD Off-Road with 6' bed in Bronze Oxide. I own several turbo 4 cylinder cars, all Subaru, and when I saw the new platform I had to get one. The threat of a price increase did raise my urgency, but I was able to get mine for a few thousand under sticker price.

No longer will I be admiring from afar or living vicariously thru everyone's experiences with their new trucks. (I can now admire it in my own driveway, lol). The year long wait is finally over! I picked up my PRO yesterday and just in the nick of time. Right before the 25% tariff increase which apparently goes into affect today. Our POTUS is very wishy-washy; I didn't want to chance it.

The finance mgr at the dealership thought it was an April Fools joke since I bought it yesterday. I said if it was, could you drop $1K discount and give me a *free* gift? 😅 I didn't get the discount but he did give me a free complimentary paint renewal cleaner kit (priced at $50).

I forgot to take pictures of it at the dealership, but I did take a couple of candid shots at rest stops on my way back into Houston from Dallas.

I really was ready to hate the PRO inserts b/c I thought the color scheme would clash with the Underground but its starting to grow on me (I kinda like it). :like:

Will post more pictures as I begin installing all these parts/ accessories that I've amassed at my parent's garage.
The color combos is awesome with the red/grey…. I have the OR underground premium hybrid. Truck is awesome..

Idk if "that" somebody saw your post earlier and informed the sale's mgr of his mistake. B/c when I swung by after work to pick up something for my bro's car. I was curious about the Pro my folks mentioned earlier (that looked similar to mine). And the final price for that vehicle has gone up yet again to $79K. I'm not sure that's 25% increase but G'DAMN that's expensive! (We're entering exotic car price range if this keeps going up).

I thought they're trying to sell cars, not see who can win the highest price tag contest!?!?

Thanks @Ray T ; I LUV this truck...it's a definite improvement from my 2nd gen. Btw do you have more pix of your Pro with the running boards? I'd love to get a better view of how tall it is compared to the tube steps.

Oh crap, I just realized something...was I supposed to go slow since it's a *new* vehicle?!?! I recall reading someone saying you're supposed to go slow (at least at first). Well clearly, THAT didn't happen yesterday. I was so enthralled with the truck that I didn't pay much attention to the speed. I was fortunate I didn't get pulled over for excessive speeding, lol. :whew:

owners of old tacomas are so desperate for the 4th gen to be bad. Anyone with half a brain and not experiencing the endowment effect sees the truck for what it is: the best all around mid size on the market.
All sorts of things pickup truck seem surrounded by basic psychological matters and poor control of common cognitive biases.

Your statement for just the product rings truer if you have work or professional needs. Just the long bed in some trims does that and is worth paying for.
