Some options (like SDM) have to come from the manufacturer but others like Mudflaps and spray in liners could come from any of those three.

Yep - my sticker says the mud flaps were from the factory and they were listed in the original allocation.

A friend of mine is sakes manager for a decent size Toyota dealer and they have tons on non hybrid tacomas on the lot but he sells every hybrid within a week. He would love to order only hybrid in anything above an sr5 trim.

Yeah - Toyota dealers have almost no say in what they get sent. For my dealer to get an allocation for exactly what I wanted was like winning the lottery. It was the only Pro they got in the 2024 model year. Another customer told my salesman that he would pay me $10k over sticker if I would sell it to him. A crazy way to distribute vehicles IMO.

I have a few chips already, a bit too late for PPF I guess. But since adding RC HD2 Running Boards, haven't heard rocks hitting it nor any new chips. I've ordered some micro ARK guards just in case though.

My Pro came without mudflaps but there were some screws already in the holes so the few that came with the CA mudflaps was enough.

Same as here. My TrailHunter came without mudflaps. I think they should included.

Likewise, I had some good down to metal chips within 500 miles. I didn't do the new tires until the Cali sliders were installed. I haven't heard anything bouncing off the truck since

I put WeatherTech flaps on front and back and they give much more coverage then the Toyota flaps that came with the truck (1st photo has them side by side). East to install with all hardware provided.
