How is everyone finding the durability of the paint? My 2024 Sport Premium took a beating over the winter and I have a ton of paint chips.

How is everyone finding the durability of the paint? My 2024 Sport Premium took a beating over the winter and I have a ton of paint chips.

12K miles and I got maybe 2. Typical toyota ultra thin water based paint.

The first thing I did was apply PPF to the forward facing portions of the rear fenders.

10 months and 8k miles in and weirdly, I got more on my hood and even windshield glass than the bumper...good thing hood is up high and don't notice it.

My "fun" cars have always had PPF full front (mainly have it due to track use), but a large enough pebble from a highway can still go through.

I decided to skip it on the truck and spend the money on something else. BUT I think I should at least get it at the rear fender as that is the place that gets the worst of it. So far I've noticed a few, I'm sure my RC Running boards help a little.

As for the fender flares, one of my fender flares was hit by a foreign object and took a good chunk of the gloss black paint, it was cheaper just for me to order a fender flare replacement (Pros already come painted) than to repaint it. Sort of made me want to switch to the matte black ones.

Hundreds of little paint chips and I have 1,100 miles. Never been on a dirt road. Not looking good for keeping it long-term.

I have 3,000 miles on mine of highway miles mostly and the front end looks like i cheese shredded it. Rock chips have gouged out the paint. Never seen such damage for just one winter. I’d have to say Toyo cheaped out alot on paint.
