Not sure if this is helpful or just crazy, but you can track your train via telephone if you have the rail number from one of Steve's screenshots. I just tracked mine to see how close it is to my dealer. I couldn't find a way to track online, but here is the instructions for over the phone tracking:

Call 800-635-5768

Wait for the prompts then push 2

Wait for the prompts again then push 2

It will ask for your first four in number form. Push 8849 ( equals TTGX) then the # sign.

It will ask for the numbers. Should be six of them like 704917. Put yours in then the # sign.

It will read off 8849 and the six numbers. Hit 1 to confirm they are correct.

It will then give the time and location of the railcar.

I got this information from another car forum, so it could be incorrect or not working for you depending on where you live in the US (west or east coast). I called and worked just fine for me. It was made clear that you should only go through the automated system and not talk to a real person.

Something odd is happening with my regular system and I'm getting an error. I tried on the old legacy system and it comes up as normal, but that's why the format of this isn't the same.

Is there anyway to know if it's being shipped by boat or by train? I need to have it for an upcoming vacation but if it's not here in time I am going to have to try and get a rental I guess.

I think to your region, it is via rail, but I'm not 100% positive on that. I just ran it again and it still isn't showing in my regular system but it does now show that it is on quality hold.
